FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Gift cards
Can I get cash for my gift card if I can’t use it before August 31st?
If you have a gift card you have not yet used, please do so before August 31st. Thank you for supporting Habitat for Humanity through your ReStore gift card purchase or gift. As we prepare to close the ReStore at the end of August, we encourage all customers to use any remaining gift card balances before our final day of operation.
Because we are a nonprofit and all proceeds support our affordable housing mission, we’re unable to offer cash refunds for unused gift cards. We truly appreciate your understanding. Your use of these cards continues to support our work and we hope you’ll stop in soon to make use of them while helping us give our remaining inventory a good home.
Thank you again for being part of the ReStore community. You’ve helped us build homes, hope, and a more sustainable Berkshire County.
ReStore ReWards
What happens with my ReStore ReWards points accumulated? Can I turn them in for cash?
While we truly appreciate your loyalty, we’re unfortunately not able to convert ReWards points into cash. As a nonprofit organization, our ReStore operates on very limited resources, and we simply don’t have the financial capacity to offer cash redemptions. The ReWards program was created to provide added value and encourage reuse and support for our mission, and we hope you’ll be able to use your remaining points toward purchases before the store closes at the end of August.
Thank you again for your understanding and for being part of our community — your support has helped us build 53 homes and change lives across Berkshire County.
Closeout Sales
Will you be having a liquidation sale and when?
Yes, beginning July 29, 2025. As of July 29th, you can take an additional 10% off of the already discounted July prices. More sales will be announced as the month of August progresses.
Layoff Concerns
What will happen to your employees? Thank you so much for your concern — we truly appreciate how much our ReStore staff has meant to the community.
We care deeply about our team and are working to support them during this transition. Staff members who stay with us through the end of August will receive an incentive reward in appreciation of their dedication.
Our ReStore team has given so much to Habitat and to the community, and we’re doing everything we can to support them moving forward.
Future Volunteering
Where can volunteers help out after the store closes?
You Made a Difference at the ReStore — Now Help Us Build Homes!
Thank you for the time, energy, and heart you gave to the Habitat ReStore. Your service helped make it a welcoming, impactful place and a key part of building 29 homes across Berkshire County. As the ReStore closes its doors, our mission to build safe, affordable housing continues — and we’d love to have you with us.
